Katy Perry has confirmed she’s turned down The X Factor 2012 UK, saying she’s ‘not ready’ for the role.
Katy was widely linked to the show earlier this year after Kelly Rowland quit, and admitted that talks had happened with show bosses.
“There has not been actual paper contracts, but people have been interested in me judging other people,” the US popstar revealed.
Speaking on the Graham Norton show this week, Katy said she would be up for a role on the show in the future, but wasn’t ready at the moment.
Katy, who releases her own movie this summer, said: “I would do it, I’m just not ready for it just yet, maybe in the future.
“I’m busy, but I am flattered. There’s a lot of those types of shows so you have to be careful what you associate yourself with.”
Katy previously appeared as a guest judge on the show in 2010, standing in for a then pregnant Dannii Minogue.
