X Factor judge Gary Barlow has said that Louis Walsh has been on ‘great form’ in the auditions so far, despite jokes about his new hair!

Louis admitted last December that he had undergone a £30,000 hair transplant, and the results have been on show for everyone to see.

His fellow X Factor 2012 judge Tulisa quipped on Twitter during auditions last week: “Louis is like a naughty little skool boy today. it must be his new hair….LOL t.”

Speaking about his new hair recently, Louis said: “I could have just left it and got on with things but with TV today, everything is in high definition and people notice every little thing.

“And if you’re getting on, and you’re on TV with a lot of young people, you have to look after yourself. So I thought ‘I don’t want a bald spot. I’m going to get this sorted’”.

And it seems that Louis’ new look has given the Irish music mogul a new lease of life on the panel.

“Louis is on great form,” Gary said this week. “He’s got great hair this year, volume is the key word!

“But he looks good, the best thing about Louis is that you can tell him a secret and he’ll tell everybody. If you want to tell the world, tell Louis!”

Gary added: “X Factor auditions have been amazing so far.”

The try outs continue next week in Manchester.
