Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has said she doesn’t care about The X Factor anymore, and insisted she wasn’t upset by being axed from the US version.
Speaking, albeit fleetingly, abut the show for the first time, Cheryl claimed she only ever planned to do one series of The X Factor.
“The TV world came into my world – I’d been in the group years before I went on to TV. I only anticipated doing one X Factor,” Cheryl said.
And Cheryl said she didn’t care about getting the axe from the US X Factor last year, despite what people may think.
She explained: “I think people think it was, but it wasn’t. I should probably care more than I do.”
The Girls Aloud singer added: “There’s been so much, to put it bluntly, crap, written about it – the whys, hows and ifs. I don’t speak. I never do speak.
“Just let them get on with their little side of it and I’ll get on with making music.”
