X Factor auditions 2012: Geri Halliwell unconcerned by boos!

X Factor 2012 guest judge Geri Halliwell has said that she’s not been concerned by boos from the audience.

The Spice Girl received a less than positive reaction yesterday, failing to get the audience onside by turning the auditions into ‘The Geri Show’.

And a flop gag at Take That’s expense certainly didn’t win her any fans with judge Gary Barlow!

But speaking today, Geri said: “I don’t mind if people want to take the piss out of me.

“You get to a certain age where you think: ‘Whatever.’ A really big fat boo is good for you, you cannot take it personally.”

She added: “Of course they’re going to boo as they’re protecting their friends. I want to do my best and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. It’s a really, really good show.”

It’s been widely speculated that Geri would become the show’s fourth full time judge after the auditions, and she’s already making plans!

The singer revealed she hoped to bring in ex-bandmate Victoria Beckham or legend George Michael to help her out at judges’ houses.

She said: “Whoever I bring as my guest helper will be authentic to me. It wouldn’t be rent-a-celeb.”

The X Factor 2012 auditions continue on Monday in London.
