Gary Barlow has said he was “too uptight” on The X Factor last year.
Speaking as auditions kicked off on the 2012 series in Liverpool, the Take That star declared he wanted to actually enjoy the show this summer!
“I was uptight last year, every week.
“I felt the pressure, having never done anything like that before,” Gary explained. “I have done a series now. I want to get on there and enjoy it like everyone else does.
“And that’s experience and just being able to go, ‘Right, I’ve done this before’ and laugh because it is bloody good fun!”
He added: “Especially the auditions. That’s the most fun bit actually, with all the weirdos. It’s great!”
Writing on Twitter yesterday, it seemed that Gary had certainly managed to relax at the first try outs.
He tweeted: “Brilliant start to X ! So nice to see the whole team again ! massive thanks to 2 gr8 audiences in Liverpool too”
The auditions continue in London at The O2 Arena on Monday.
