Robbie Williams has become the latest star to be linked to a guest judging role in Liverpool next week.
We reported yesterday that the X Factor 2012 auditions will feature guest judges, after bosses failed to sign a permanent replacement for Kelly Rowland.
Auditions for the show begin filming on Wednesday, having already been delayed due to a lack of judges.
Robbie Williams has become the latest name linked to sit in on the panel for the try outs, when they kick off in Liverpool next week.
“There is always a buzz in the air when Robbie and Gary get together. This could save us,” a source told the Daily Star They added: “Obviously we love Gary, Tulisa and Louis but we wanted to kick off next week with a bang and get everyone talking. “Having Dannii back would have been huge. “But that’s fallen through so hopefully Robbie will join us and create the excitement we need to launch the series.” Robbie is no newbie to the show, having mentored acts in the past, performed numerous times on the live shows and helped out pal Gary at last year's judges' houses. It was also reported today that Rod Stewart would be an X Factor guest judge, sitting on the panel for auditions in London and Glasgow.
