X Factor 2012 judge Gary Barlow has said he’s going to embrace the rubbish acts this year.
The Take That star was the first to confirm his return to the series last month, with a rumoured £2 million pay deal.
He said at the time: “I’m thrilled to be back and really looking forward to working with The X Factor team again. The fact that a superstar could just walk out on that stage is very exciting.”
X Factor boss Simon Cowell added: “It’s great to be able to confirm our first judge for this year’s show.
“Gary has earned his place and I’m excited to be working with him again.”
Speaking on the Graham Norton show tonight, Gary reveals he is going to try and enjoy the rubbish acts on this year’s show.
“I always thought of myself as the serious music guy, but actually 98 per cent of the acts are absolutely awful and incredibly funny, so I want to enjoy them this time round,” he said.
Auditions for The X Factor 2012 begin in Liverpool on May 23.
