One Direction stars Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik have been hit with a booze ban by Simon Cowell.
The record label boss has told the boys that they need to keep up their clean and wholesome image to win over fans.
“Simon’s warned them to avoid flaming out before their careers have even begun,” a source tells Reveal magazine this week.
They added: “Harry’s love life is a huge distraction, and their partying an drinking is tarnishing their good-guy hard working image.”
According to the sources, Simon has huge plans for the boys, who have topped the charts across the world with their debut record.
Preparing to embark on their first ever USA headlining tour, One Direction are set to outdo Justin Bieber.
The source explained: “Simon is obsessed with them outselling and outperforming teen popstar Justin Bieber, and that requires all of the pre-teens – and their others – not being turned off”
