Dannii Minogue has ruled herself out of a role on The X Factor 2012 UK (again), saying she won’t put her career before her children.
Dannii has one son, Ethan, with former boyfriend Kris Smith.
Dannii said this week that she didn’t want to miss out on “being a mum” because of career commitments.
“I guess my world is about making time for being a mum and not missing out on special time with Ethan,” the Aussie star explained. “Every week there are new things. He is changing every day.
“The music takes you on a different trip. You can’t do everything. You choose a couple of important things and the rest is mum time.”
Dannii is understood to have been offered a £700,000 fee to make a comeback to the show, replacing Kelly Rowland.
But Dannii insisted she was still “loving” life down under, where she judges on Australia’s Got Talent.
She said: “I work one day a week on Australia’s Got Talent. I’ve got a couple of extra things with this and some interviews and that’s it. The rest is doing the crèche run and looking after Ethan.
“I’m loving it. I don’t want to miss out on these years. That’s important to me.”
