The Voice UK coach Sir Tom Jones has hit out at Simon Cowell, saying that the music mogul is too focused on looks.
In another swipe at the X Factor boss and his TV shows, Sir Tom claimed that Simon put appearance over talent.
Speaking to The Times, Sir Tom said: “Not to put Simon Cowell down. But here’s the thing. I remember there was a girl in one of his US shows, a couple of years ago now, and she was all over the place.
“You know she sang a song in three different bloody keys. That’s how off she was.”
On a bit of a rant, Sir Tom went on: “But he liked the way she looked and the way she moved and he said: ‘You’re a star’. And Paula Abdul said: ‘Simon, she’s out of tune’.
“‘Well who cares about that?’ is what he said.”
