X Factor boss Simon Cowell has named Tulisa the head judge of the show last year, after Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell bickered over the role on Twitter!
ITV confirmed yesterday that Louis Walsh would (unsurprisingly) join Gary Barlow on the panel this year, to which the Take That star was quick to tweet about.
He joked: “I hear there’s a lovely lad from Ireland joining me. Congrats Louis! One of these years you’ll be head judge.”
But Simon Cowell took to his own Twitter account this afternoon to clear matters up, and assigned Tulisa the role of head judge on the show this year.
In doing so he also confirmed her return, although it hasn’t been the world’s best kept secret!
Simon wrote: “I understand Louis & Gary are squabbling as to who is head judge..since @OfficialTulisa won last year, she is the reigning head judge.”
Tulisa will be joining Simon Cowell this Sunday night for her first UK telly performance of new single Young, which is set to hit the top spot at the weekend.
Filming for begins in Liverpool on May 23.
