The X Factor bosses have confirmed this morning that Louis Walsh will be back as a judge on the show.
Not that we expected anything else, but now it’s official!
Louis joins Gary Barlow on the official X Factor 2012 line up.
In a statement Louis said: “I’m back!
“It’s my ninth year on the show and as the only remaining original judge I’m delighted to take my seat once more on the judging panel.”
X Factor boss Simon Cowell added: “The show wouldn’t be the same without Louis, I am really happy he is coming back.
“I hope he has an opportunity this year to show what an astute manager he is.”
X Factor producer said: “Louis’s wealth of experience in the music industry coupled with the fact he has been on every series of The X Factor makes him a fantastic Judge and mentor.”
Kelly Rowland confirmed earlier this week that she would NOT be back, while Tulisa has revealed in unofficial interviews that she is set to return.
Amongst the names tipped to replace Kelly are Katy Perry and former judge Dannii Minogue.
Auditions for The X Factor 2012 are still open, and budding artists can still apply for The X Factor via Facebook.
Filming will start on May 23 in Liverpool.
