Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack has teased that this year’s show will see some “exciting changes”.

It was confirmed earlier this year that Caroline would be back to front the ITV2 series, presenting the audition shows alone.

Partner in crime Olly Murs will be back only for the lives, due to commitments in the USA with an American tour alongside One Direction.

Caroline tweeted this morning: “Who…a matter of weeks before we start filming Xtra Factor! Eeeeek. Looks like there will be a few exciting changes also….hmmmm”

Meanwhile, X Factor 2012 judge Gary Barlow has revealed he has also been meeting with show bosses ahead of auditions later this month.

He wrote on Twitter: “Had a lovely dinner with #XFactor team last night.About to do Yoga then a day at the studio with back to back meetings.”

ITV have already confirmed that this year’s X Factor will see the rules relaxed, with contestants allowed to audition even if they’ve already signed a management deal.

Bosses have also invited potential stars to audition via Facebook, while the first ever mobile auditions are also currently taking place in locations around the country.

The X Factor 2012 auditions begin filming in Liverpool on May 23.
