X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed how pal Cheryl Cole helped her out during her sex tape scandal earlier this year.
Tulisa hit the headlines after a six minute clip of her and ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards hit the headlines in March.
Speaking out this week, Tulisa revealed how she received support from Cheryl, who Tulisa replaced on The X Factor UK.
“I’ve been in touch with Cheryl,” the 23-year-old said. “I actually had a really nice text from her after my ‘hoo-hah’ a couple of weeks ago, offering her support.”
And Tulisa also downplayed any suggestion that she was taking over from Cheryl, despite having beaten her to FHM’s Sexiest Woman In The World award.
Speaking at the party to celebrate her achievement-of-sorts, Tulisa insisted: “When people say I’m the new ‘nation’s sweetheart’ I’m like, ‘No! That role will always belong to Cheryl!’ I’ve become the nation’s little rebel.”
The N-Dubz star will be back on panel this summer, with auditions starting filming later this month in Liverpool.
