Cheryl Cole hits out at Cher Lloyd again: 'I went through hell on The X Factor for her'

Cheryl Cole has hit out at X Factor’s Cher Lloyd again, saying that the teenager has a lot to learn.

Cheryl, who mentored Cher on the show in 2010, got into a Twitter row with the teenager earlier this year after the youngster hit out at her auto tuned vocals.

Cher also said she’d only duet with Cheryl if the Girls Aloud star promised to sing live.

Cheryl wrote to Cher on Twitter at the time: “Be careful who you kick on your way up. They kick you twice as hard on your way down.”

Speaking to GQ magazine this month, Cheryl once again reignited the war of words.

She said of Cher: “She’s new. She needs to learn a lot.

“I went through hell to get her on that programme. Everyone says stuff at the beginning of their career they will learn to regret.”

She added: “It’s disappointing because I fought for her. Maybe I didn’t teach her as well as I thought I had.”

Cher previously apologised for the comments, saying: “I really did put my foot in it and now I’ve realised what I said was wrong and I said sorry.”

Cheryl Cole releases her new video next month.
