X Factor 2012 will "shock" and "excite", predicts Tulisa

X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has predicted that there will be shocks on the series this year, in a bid to “spice up” the show.

With a dip in ratings last summer, the N-Dubz star reckons bosses will go all out to be the best this time around, and beat The Voice UK.

“Every day is a competition whether you’re in television or music — you’re always fighting to be the best,” Tulisa told The Sun.

While the 23-year-old hasn’t yet been officially announced as part of panel, Tulisa has confirmed in interviews that she will be back.

She said of the upcoming series: “You need to keep reinventing yourself and changing things up and keeping people entertained.

“So I’m sure they will do something that either shocks people or just gets the viewers excited this year.”

Yesterday it was announced that Kelly Rowland had quit The X Factor UK, with former judge Dannii Minogue the favourite to replace her.

Auditions begin recording in Liverpool on May 23.
