Simon Cowell may not be on The X Factor UK anymore, but it seems he still controls every aspect of the show!
Last year’s runner up Marcus Collins has revealed how the music mogul “hand selected” everyone on last year’s show.
“Simon is so involved it’s unbelievable,” the Liverpudlian singer told the Daily Star Sunday today.
He explained: “He saw every audition. Everyone on the show last year was hand selected by him. And rightly so – it’s his program.”
Speaking to the tabloid ahead of the release of new single Mercy, Marcus went on: “Even though he’d left the show he still called the shots on a daily basis.
“He was on the phone every day to production and senior people. And he was involved in every aspect down to times and costumes.”
And the runner up warned this year’s hopefuls: “You work all day. Your voice is tired and your body is exhausted. There’s no free time. People thinking of auditioning should know it’s not an easy ride.”
Auditions for start filming in Cardiff next week.
