Both Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor have been snubbed by this year’s BAFTA TV awards.
It’s the first time that the show’s haven’t nominated since 2007. Instead, this year Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Derren Brown: The Experiments, Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Comedy Roadshow and ITV2’s Celebrity Juice will fight for the gong.
“This is a very big blow for Simon,” a source told The Sun. “The Baftas are the most prestigious awards in Britain and Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor are two of the biggest shows on telly.
“It’s also a blow for the new panel.
“If they’re not going to win awards, they need to start winning ratings wars. Immediately.”
The awards will be presented in a ceremony on May 27.
