Channel 5 bosses got a telling off from Cheryl Cole today, as the former X Factor judge branded a show broadcast about her ‘a load of s**t’.

The one-off programme, entitled ‘The Truth About Cheryl Cole’, aired this summer.

It described itself as a “unique insight into the rollercoaster ride taken by national treasure Cheryl Cole”, featuring her rise to fame in Girls Aloud and on The X Factor.

However rather than featuring anything official about the singer, her life or career, it instead used journalists and celebrity Z-listers to give their views on the former X Factor USA judge.

Taking to Twitter today, Cheryl moaned: “It amazes me how people can piece together a show called ‘The truth about Cheryl Cole’ and then fill it with a load of s**t !

“Just been hearing all about it and lmao #thetruthaboutcherylcole or #icouldntbearsedtofindthetruthout ! Bore off.. Zzzzz.”
