X Factor 2012: Louis Walsh wants to quit the show?

Louis Walsh

X Factor judge Louis Walsh reportedly wants to quit the show after the current series is over.

The Irish music mogul came under fire earlier this month after his decision to send the vote between bottom two stars Rylan Clark and Carolynne Poole to deadlock, leaving Carolynne to leave.

Speaking to the Irish Herald this week, Louis admitted he was annoyed by the “unfair” stick that he got over the decision.

He told the publication: “I got a lot of stick last week and so much of it was unfair. I was booed coming out on to the show on Saturday night but honestly, it was just one of those things.

“When it came to the vote I was like a rabbit in the headlights and I was dammed if I did and dammed if I didn’t. So I decided to do the only fair thing and put it to deadlock.”

Meanwhile, speaking to Star magazine, a source claimed that Louis has been thinking about quitting after the drama.

“Louis was livid,” the insider claimed. “He has always loved his job as a judge, but with his integrity in question, he’s thought seriously about quitting.”

The supposed source added: “He felt so humiliated that his whole reputation as a judge was being questioned.

“He would never do something like that, but he was crucified for it!”

Louis previously said he was hoping to return to the show next summer for what would his tenth series on the panel, having been the only judge to have taken part since the very first episode.

The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV1.

This weekend will see the remaining eleven finalists singing tracks with a Club Classics theme, while JLS and Labrinth will guest star on Sunday night’s third live results show.

Louis is holding the show together and if he leaves then the X Factor is finished. Louis was caught like a rabbit in headlights when he had to decide between Rylan & Carolynne – took the flack but continued. Barlow is too far up himself & reckons he’s the king of the judging panel. Bring back Mrs O’ because the panel needs Louis and it is only Mrs O’ who can bring back the old humour between Louis & her creating a good feel ‘factor’ worth tuning into aside from a few decent acts’.

PLEASE get rid of him, seriously. He never had a good reputation as a judge. Ask Lucie Jones or Treyc Cohen!
