X Factor 2012: Lucy Spraggan struggles at judges’ houses

Lucy Spraggan struggles once again on The X Factor 2012 this week, this time at judges’ houses.

In a make or break performance in front of Tulisa and Tinie Tempah, Lucy struggles to hit the right notes.

Lucy performs I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston for the pair in St Lucia, as Tulisa prepares to pick her live show finalists.

Afterwards, Tinie is unsure: “I don’t know. It’s such a big song to sing.”

Tulisa comments: “There’s vocals that are just amazing here today and then she comes on and what she does is so much more simple but it’s that thing isn’t it, she has her niche and does the niche stand up to the big voices?”

Meanwhile Jade Ellis recovered from her bootcamp mess up, singing Stand By Me by Ben E King.

Tulisa says: “There is something about Jade. I know she doesn’t have the strongest vocal but I like her energy, I like her swag, she’s real.”

Amy then performs Read All About It by Emeli Sande, with Tulisa reacting: “I’m welling up under my shades. She has got so much soul for somebody so young.”

Diva Leanne Robinson sings Hurt by Christina Aquilera, also impressing her mentor.

Tulisa says: “When she gets it it’s like wow, she’s up there with the big ones.”

The X Factor 2012 airs tonight and tomorrow night on ITV1.
