X Factor 2012: Jahmene Douglas forgets lyrics to Moves Like Jagger at bootcamp

Jahmene Douglas (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 hopeful Jahmene Douglas sailed through his audition, but is seen struggling on this weekend’s bootcamp.

Asda worker Jahmene wowed the judges with his voice during this year’s opening audition show, performing Etta James classic At Last.

Tulisa gushed: “You have not just The X Factor, not just raw talent but you have the shock factor. When you stepped on the stage you were like a timid little soul and you couldn’t express yourself, but you started expressing yourself the minute you started singing and it was freaking amazing!”

However Jahmene’s hopes in the X Factor could be in doubt this weekend, after he’s seen forgetting the words to Maroon 5 hit Moves Like Jagger.

This weekend will see all the successful auditionees put through a gruelling 72 hour bootcamp, with performances in front of huge crowds at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

Jahmene said: “The toughest bit was learning the lyrics to Moves Like Jagger. I didn’t know the lyrics.

“It was an interesting experience, an overwhelming experience.”

Coming offstage after singing for the judges, a clearly disappointed Jahmene tells host Dermot O’Leary: “I just feel like I’ve let them all down.”

The X Factor 2012 bootcamp airs Saturday and Sunday night on ITV1.

Jahmene Douglas looks to be promising if he doesn’t forget his lyrics. I’m moved by his act during the season premiere of The X Factor. I’ve only been watching this season and it’s great doing it without commercials using the Auto Hop feature. I can use this feature all my primetime shows, since I don’t like commercials and I hate manually skipping them. One of my coworkers at DISH showed me the Auto Hop functions and how it’s going to make things simple. This isn’t an automatic feature, and I need to confirm if I want to skip commercials before I watch each recording. No more over fast forwarding and I can save the life on the batteries on my remote.
