With The X Factor 2012 final 24 set to be revealed this weekend, we make our predictions for this year’s X Factor finalists!
This Saturday and Sunday’s bootcamp double bill will see the judges cut down the 100 or so remaining contestants down to just 24 for judges’ houses.
Just six in each of the four categories will make it, and here are our predictions.
Girls
The girls category is usually very competitive and this year is no different.
Ella Henderson wowed on the opening audition show with a self-penned track and we won’t be shocked to see her sail through bootcamp this weekend.
After her success first at her audition and then in the charts with ‘Last Night’, Lucy Spraggan is sure to be joining her.
And both Jade Ellis and Jade Collins seem like good tips to make the cut if they can cope with the pressure of bootcamp.
We’re hoping that both Melanie McCabe and Jade Richards are also going to make it through bootcamp for the second year, completing the line up for the girls.
Overs
The Overs category, which this year has seen its age limit upped from 25 to 28, is looking especially strong.
Hunky Kye Sones and powerhouses Melanie Masson and Christopher Maloney are sure to make it through to bootcamp if they can keep their nerves at bay.
Nicola-Marie could be a bit of a wild card choice, and would seem to stand out as this year’s ‘novelty’ act.
Meanwhile Pop Idol’s Hayley Evetts has surely got to make the cut after an amazing audition, and Carolynne Poole‘s epic comeback is certain to get her through to bootcamp if she can keep up the performances.
Boys
The boys are once again looking strong this year, with dad of one Joseph Whelan leading our favourites in the category.
Lifeguard Jake Quickenden and James Arthur also both have the talent and looks to see them through bootcamp.
After his brilliant audition in the first show, Jahmene Douglas would be a surprise exit at bootcamp, so we’re confident he’ll be able to pull it out of the bag.
Starboy Nathan – aka Nathan Fagan-Gayle – is another top singer we’re tipping to make it to judges’ houses, with Robbie Hance joining him and completing the line up.
Groups
The groups category is looking pretty thin on the ground this year, but there’s still a number of talented acts in bootcamp that take our fancy.
Boy groups Times Red, Triple J, GMD3 and Duke all stand a good chance of making it into the judges’ houses stage later this month, already having managed to get their own fanbases.
We saw MK1 split from a trio to a duo into the auditions, and they could be a unique act if their new format works.
Finally, mixed group Mitsotu didn’t make the Britain’s Got Talent live shows earlier this year but could well be in with a shot on The X Factor.
Who do you think will make The X Factor 2012 final 24? Which acts do you want in the live shows?
