The Voice UK finalists have been finding out about cancelled tour dates from their fans on Twitter.

We revealed earlier today that many of The Voice UK tour dates had been cancelled, including performances in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Aberdeen.

Currently tickets are still on sale for other venues, but with still some months to go until the shows start in September it remains to be seen whether they too could be cancelled.

But despite ticket holders being made aware of the cancellations, the show’s contestants have been finding out via Twitter.

The Voice tour would’ve seen show winner Leanne Mitchell together with the 7 semi-finalists singing live at various venues across the country.

Ruth Brown revealed on Twitter this evening that she hadn’t heard anything about the axe.

“I’m hearing that the voice tour is cancelled!” she wrote on the website. “I’m hearing what’s goin on from u guys”

And she added: “Wow well that’s no surprise to be honest.”

Becky Hill tweeted: “Noone told me the tour was cancelled?! I’d of been there in September like yeah bro let’s get this s**t going! Guess not”
