The first ever winner of The Voice UK has seemingly flopped in the charts with winner’s single Run To You.
The track – a cover of the famous Whitney Houston number – was released just hours after Leanne won the show last Saturday night.
But it failed to make the Top 40 in today’s charts, slipping from it’s less than impressive midweek position of 27 to number 45 this evening.
Somewhat ironically, the song was nudged out of the Top 40 by Voice UK coach Jessie J, who re-enters the chart at 32 with her former Number One single ‘Domino’.
There wasn’t much better news for The X Factor alumni either in today’s latest chart countdown, with Aiden Grimshaw’s debut effort scraping into the Top 40 at number 35.
But Gary Barlow managed to top the albums for a second week running with his ‘Sing band’ collection.
