Bo Bruce’s performance on The Voice UK semi-finals tonight will be a message to her ill mum.
Bo — real name Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce — has chosen Coldplay track Charlie Brown to sing tonight, in a message to her mum who is sick in hospital.
“That Coldplay song has kept her going,” a friend said today. “It was also when she got her tattoo, for protection, for herself and her mum – from everything that life threw at them and especially from her dad, who has tried to go to the hospital and even tried to contact Bo at Elstree Studios.”
Speaking to The Sun, the pal added: “Her performance will be a sign to her mum that everything will be OK and a symbol of redemption.”
Bo meanwhile said that the show had been a great help in taking her mind of things in her personal life.
“It is one big love-in. It is the best therapy you could ever get,” she said. “In the same way as this show, you don’t forget people you met in rehab because of the stuff you go through.
“Whether or not we get on, we will never forget this, because of the roller coaster that we rode with these amazing people.
“We are all in it together.”
The Voice UK airs tonight at 6:30PM on BBC One.
