The Voice UK host Holly Willoughby has insisted that Jessie J won’t be quitting the show.
Blonde beauty Holly, who co-hosts the BBC One series alongside Reggie Yates, defended Jessie from criticism this week.
It follows reports yesterday that Jessie regretted signing up for the show after a backlash from viewers, with claims that even a doubled £400,000 fee wouldn’t keep her.
But Holly declared bluntly this week: “She’s not leaving the show.”
The telly presenter explained: “She’s a strong woman and I’m naturally very drawn to women like that, because I think it’s very tough in this industry to break through and she has.
“Sometimes people go, ‘Oh, there’s a strong woman, she’s a nightmare’ but she’s not. She’s dedicated and passionate.”
Holly added: “I think she works her artists hard but the tips and tricks she does are very clever.
“I think she’s a great teacher. She’s very on it.”
Sir Tom Jones revealed previously that he and the other coaches were all in talks to return for a second series next Spring, and admitted he’d love to come back.
But he said: “It would be nice if Jessie was there if I was going to sign again. Do I sign or don’t I sign?
“If Jessie’s there, it would make it a lot easier for me to want to do it again.”
