The Voice UK coach Jessie J has admitted she wished she waited until she knew who her fellow coaches were before signing up for the show.
In an open interview about the BBC One series, Jessie also revealed that she has found filming the programme to be “scary” at times.
“I was first to sign up (as a judge) because I was totally up for it. But when Tom Jones said he waited until he knew the line-up, I thought I should have, too,” Jessie tells Company magazine this month.
She added: “It’s been scary at times but it’s one thing in my life, not the only thing. My second album is my focus.”
In the interview, Jessie also says that she would never imagine entering a show like The Voice herself, even if her own career flopped.
The Domino hitmaker said: “I wouldn’t enter myself in 20 years’ time. I feel like I’ve worked hard enough to stay here, even if I end up behind closed doors doing make-up. I’ll always be around.”
The Voice UK continues this Saturday night at 6:10PM on ITV1.
