BBC bosses are reportedly hoping to get Adele to perform on The Voice UK to “hit back” at ITV1.
The ratings war between The Voice and rival Britain’s Got Talent continues this Saturday night, as both shows go head to head once more.
The Daily Mirror claims that the Beeb is desperate to claw back viewers with a performance from Brit superstar Adele.
It follows news that Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue will also be performing on The Voice later this month.
“We’ve just signed Kylie this week and Cheryl is going to perform her new single in a massive exclusive for the show,” a supposed insider told the newspaper. “We are also contacting a number of other huge stars, such as singer Adele, to add more quality to the show.”
They added: “ITV have already shown it’s dog-eat-dog by moving Britain’s Got Talent around the schedules aggressively, so we have got to hit back as hard as we possibly can.”
This weekend will see the Scissor Sisters perform on the results show.
