The Voice UK’s Sophie Griffin has insisted she’ll never give up after being eliminated from the show last night.
The Northern Irish star was given the axe alongside Sam Buttery in the first results show over the series.
Coach Will.i.am had to decide whether to save her or Joelle Moses.
“This is like the hardest thing, right, because both of you guys are amazing talents,” Will said. “Sophie, you’re special. You’ve learned so much in two months, in two months. It took me freakin’ 10 years to learn what you learnt in two months.
“But somebody has to go home. So – I promise you, me and Dante and Apple, my best friend, are going to be here for you whenever you need us. But, for the show, I’m going to take Joelle.”
Writing on Twitter after the show, Sophie said: “I’m not sure what I’m feeling right now..but what I am sure of is I’m never going to give up, music is inside me and always will be.”
