The Voice UK: Will.i.am says his artists will all be winners!

Will.i.am (The Voice UK)

The Voice UK coach Will.i.am has said he’s confident his artists will become stars regardless of the show.

The singer, who lost Sophie Griffin in last night’s first results show, insisted that the acts on his team had the talent to succeed.

“It all depends what it is you’re trying to accomplish. Are you trying to win some contest, or are you trying to learn?” he explained.

He added: “If we win, that’d be great – but we gonna win anyway.”

The Black Eyed Peas star insisted: “I think I have singers on my team that are going to be very successful in entertainment, whether or not they win The Voice.”

And unlike his fellow Voice UK coaches, Will also refused to criticise shows like The X Factor or Britain’s Got Talent.

He said: “I think the rivalry is important.

“The rivalry between the shows – they need each other, because the music industry needs the shows.”
