Team Will’s Jaz Ellington and Team Tom singer Ruth Brown remain the Voice UK favourites after last night’s first live show.
Jaz wowed again with an emotional performance of Etta James classic At Last, while Ruth closed the show in epic style with a performance of Get Here.
Will.i.am raved about Jaz: “I would dare to compare Jaz to Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.”
While Sir Tom said of Ruth: “I must say, I’ve heard a lot of singers in my life but this girl has something else. She’s fantastic.”
Bookies currently rank Jaz as the 11/4 favourite, followed by Ruth at 4/1.
But it seems other acts on last night’s show didn’t impress the viewers.
Becky Hill is third favourite at 4/1, despite not having performed yet, while Vince Kidd, Bo Bruce, David Julien and Max Milner all also have more support.
The Voice UK live shows continue next Saturday as Team Jessie and Team Danny’s artists perform for the first time.
