The Voice UK's Hannah Berney to sing for the Queen on Diamond Jubilee tour

Hannah Berney - The Voice UKThe Voice UK contestant Hannah Berney has been asked to sing for the Queen as she tours the country to mark her Diamond Jubilee.

Berney – part of Team Danny O’Donoghue – will perform for Her Majesty during celebrations in Exeter on Wednesday, according to The Sun.

Her gig will come just three days before her first live appearance on the BBC talent contest, when she and her teammates will be competing to stay in the competition alongside Jessie J’s artists.

The 21-year-old student told the newspaper: “I can’t believe it. I am so honoured they have asked me to sing a song for the Queen.”

The Voice’s first live show – starring Teams Tom Jones and Will.i.am – airs tomorrow at 7.00pm on BBC One, with the results on Sunday at 7.25pm.
