According to the Daily Star, ‘soulful’ 19-year-old contestant Ruth Brown has specifically been been saved for the end, after impressing coaches Tom Jones and Will.i.am with her ‘powerhouse’ vocals.
Producers apparently hope that by finishing the try-outs on a high, they will deal a further blow to the rival talent contest, which lost out in the ratings war for the first time on Saturday.
A BBC insider commented: “If Britain’s Got Talent is counting on us running out of steam, then they better think again.”
This week’s episodes of The Voice will see the four star panellists – Tom, Will, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue – hear from one final batch of budding singers as they seek to complete their teams of ten.
They will then pair off their artists to sing competitive duets in the ‘Battle Rounds‘, with one from each duo going through to the live shows.
