The voice UK coach Jessie J has confirmed she’s not sure whether she’ll be back on the show next year.
The Beeb signed a £22 million deal for the new reality series, which will last for at least two years on the channel, but the coaches have only signed one-year contracts.
Speaking to Daily Star, Jessie admitted she wasn’t sure of taking part in a second series.
“I don’t know if I will be back yet,” she told the newspaper. “It has only been a couple of episodes and I never say anything that could contradict myself. Never say never.
“I’m just going to enjoy this series and see what happens.”
But it seems that with Jessie going down a hit with viewers, BBC bosses would be keen to keep her on.
“Jessie has been a massive hit on the show. She is incredibly likeable, looks great, isn’t afraid to speak her mind and is a huge star all around the world,” a source reveals to the tabloid today.
They went on: “Not only that but her voice is unmistakable. Bosses call her their secret weapon and they are determined to hold on to her at all costs.”
The 23-year-old also admitted that being watched by more than 10 million viewers every weekend is also getting to her.
She said: “I watched it back with my family but it didn’t feel like it was me. It was really strange.”
