The The Voice 2014 mentors for this year’s battle rounds have been revealed.
With the blind auditions drawing to a close, details about the next stage have now been confirmed.
The battles will see the coaches pair off their acts in singing duels which only one perform can win leaving each team with six singers.
The superstar coaches Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Ricky Wilson will be joined by their battle advisors – trusted fellow pop stars and industry executives, who, alongside each coach, will dedicate themselves to developing each artist and sharing the secrets of their success.
Kylie welcomes trusted friend and Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears. Ricky is joined by singer-songwriter Katy B. Sir Tom Jones is joined by Brit award-winning rapper Tinie Tempah and will.i.am is joined by friend and founding member of the Black Eyed Peas, Dante Santiago.
The first round of battles will see each coach pair up their artists to sing against each other in a competitive vocal showdown. The coaches and battle advisors will mentor and train them through songs and rehearse with them. The two acts will then meet in the boxing ring to sing their heart out. After each battle, the artists’ coach must decide who will progress to the knockout stage – and who will be sent home.
But that’s not for a couple of weeks yet, airing on BBC One on March 1.
For now, the blind auditions continue this weekend from tomorrow night.
