The Voice UK will see “dramatic” changes for the second series, it has been revealed.
Speaking at the Edinburgh Television Festival today, BBC entertainment boss Mark Linsey explained that the show’s pre-recorded auditions would last longer next year.
He also said that the spinning chairs would remain in the battle round and that there would be less live shows.
The panel is set to remain the same, with the BBC saying it would be “very surprised” with either Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am or Danny O’Donoghue quit.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail report that hosts Holly and Reggie will also be back, although the format of the duo’s hosting will be changed.
“There’s such upheaval we need the presenting line-up to stay stable,” a supposed source told the newspaper. “He’s going to be much more of Holly’s equal. Keeping him backstage didn’t work.”
