According to The Sun, the business tycoon is worried that the girls won’t be able to compete with the boys unless more of them get on board.
He Tweeted yesterday: “Application still open for The Apprentice come on ladies show me what you can do, not just the blokes.”
This year’s series was dominated by guys, with Jade Nash – the only girl to make the final – being eliminated in fourth place.
Three of the show’s eight series so far have been won by females – Michelle Dewberry in 2006, Yasmina Siadatan in 2009, and Stella English in 2010.
