Lord Sugar signs up for two more years of The Apprentice

Lord Sugar

Apprentice boss Lord Sugar has signed a new deal that will see two more series of the show with him at the helm.

The latest series of the show finished back in May, and a new series of Young Apprentice is due to start later this year.

According to Broadcast, the BBC and Lord Sugar are set to renew the contract for the show for a further two years.

It will mean the series will stay on air until at least 2014, and see a full ten series.

Applications for the new series are already open, while the candidates for the new series of Young Apprentice have already been chosen.

The teenage spin-off series will be filmed over the summer and air at the end of the year on BBC One.

Despite a dip in overnight ratings for this year’s series, the show continued to impress with huge numbers of online viewers.

The programme was BBC iPlayer’s most watched series throughout May, ahead of The Voice UK.
