Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Superstar kicks off on Saturday night, but just how will the show work?
The series will follow the search for a new performer to play the lead role in an arena adaption of Lord Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar musical.
It starts with the auditions on Saturday night from 7:25PM, with Andrew Lloyd Webber will be joined by West End Casting Director David Grindrod, Spice Girl Mel C and musical theatre star Jason Donovan.
Saturday’s show will also see the Brixton Academy Callbacks which will see the final 100 whittled down to 40.
This Sunday will see the Superstar Island, a pop up performance school with vocal, dance and acting challenges.
After that, just 30 hopefuls will remain.
They’ll then travel to Majorca to experience a taste of the rock and roll lifestyle with performances at Andrew’s house.
Just 20 contenders will fly back to London for the final chance, performing for one one last time at London
docks overlooking the O2, the first venue of arena Tour.
Andrew chooses his final 10 for the live shows which will air later this month.
