Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Superstar kicks off this Saturday night, and Mel C and Dawn French are hoping for hotties on the show!
The new series will follow the search for a new star to play the role of Jesus Christ in an arena adaption of Lord Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar musical.
“Performers can impress me in many ways, but I must remember to keep this professional,” Dawn said about judging the show.
She added: “I will be on the lookout for confidence, with dollops of humility. And of course a splendid voice and a twenty six-pack – if indeed there is such a thing! If there was, I reckon Jesus would have it.”
Mel C meanwhile revealed: “There are some real hotties in the running and all the girls in the production team (including myself!) had a lovely time working with them! Make sure you don’t miss a minute!”
Asked what she was looking for from the finalists, Mel explained: “Obviously someone who is a great singer but also somebody who works hard and respects their talent and other cast members.
“This is a chance of a lifetime and I am so pleased that the British public will have the opportunity to choose their Jesus.”
Superstar starts this Saturday at 7:25PM on ITV. It continues on Sunday.
