Rocker Noel Gallagher has turned down Strictly Come Dancing 2012, although bookies reckon he still might sign up!
The Oasis singer claimed he would have taken part in the BBC One series if it wasn’t for his busy schedule.
He said: “I’m flattered. I’d have done it an’ all… Sadly though, I’m a bit busy. Maybe next time…”
But Noel is favoured by Ladbrokes to roll with it on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Despite him reportedly turning down the role, the bookies make him just 5/1 to change his mind and enter this year’s series, taking the crown off McFly’s Harry Judd.
And as a rock n’ roll star it’s 20/1 Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds perform on the show, or there’s an outside chance of 200/1 that Oasis reform for a one-off gig for the Strictly audience.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Noel might think he’s too cool for school but if wins Strictly there’s no doubt it’ll be a champagne supernova.
“No one lives forever and one day he might regret turning the BBC down.”
Strictly Come Dancing 2012 airs this autumn on BBC One.
