New Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon snubbed the National Television Awards yesterday because she feared a showdown with her former Strictly Come Dancing stars!
Both shows were up against one another for the Best Talent Show gong, coming just weeks after Alesha’s deflection from the BBC to ITV.
Strictly had a great year and was tipped to win so it would have been really awkward for her,” a source told The Sun. “The BBC aren’t exactly happy with her move to BGT so she wouldn’t have been welcome collecting the award.”
In the end, both Strictly and Britain’s Got Talent lost out to The X Factor anyway!
