Strictly Come Dancing: Brendan Cole doesn't want Kara Tointon replacing Alesha Dixon!

Kara Tointon

Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole has he doesn’t want Kara Tointon replacing Alesha Dixon, revealing his hopes for a “TV personality” to join the show.

Alesha left the BBC One series earlier this month after three years as a judge in order to take up a role on rival series Britain’s Got Talent.

Talking about possible replacements, Brendan said: “I’d like a TV personality who has some form of background in dance that understands what it’s all about.”

And he made a sly did at Alesha for her appointment as a judge after winning the series.

He explained: “I think it’s quite a funny thing to get someone who’s had three months of dancing experience. It cracks me up actually, it takes years and years and years to understand what we’re all doing.

“You need the respect of the dancers otherwise the comments are taken with a pinch of salt. It’s like “whatever”.”

Asked about Kara Tointon joining, he told Yelp: “No I’d like to see somebody that is a TV personality. I don’t think they just need some random judge. Somebody who’s a television personality that people are going to know and love already.”
