Comic Rory Bremner set for Strictly Come Dancing 2011

Strictly Come Dancing

TV comic and impressionist Rory Bremner has become the latest celebrity to be linked with this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The Sun reports today that the telly star – famous of his impersonations of George Bush and Tony Blair – wants to take part to show viewers “the real him”.

An insider told the newspaper: “Rory is interesting as most people know him for his impressions but don’t know a lot about him.

“Taking part will allow viewers to see the real him – he’ll bring a certain audience with him, too.”

The former Mock The Week panellist will join a line up that’s likely to include soapstar turned pop princess Holly Valance, former Eastenders actress Anita Dobson, and The One Show host Alex Jones.

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on September 10.
