Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Michael Vaughan feeling 'very confident'

Michael Vaughan (Strictly Come Dancing)

Michael Vaughan has revealed he’s feeling confident about Strictly Come Dancing tonight.

The Cricket star was in the bottom two last weekend and tonight will see Michael tackle a Latin dance, but he’s hoping to surprise the judges.

Michael and his pro partner Natalie Lowe will be performing a Samba to Tequila by The Champs, and he says: “I’m feeling very confident about this weekend.

“I’ve already shown that I can waltz, but now I’m looking forward to showing that I’ve cracked Latin dancing too. I couldn’t have worked harder than I have this week.”

Speaking to The Sun, Michael revealed how all of his sporting pals have become obsessed with the show and his progress.

He said: “They’re obsessed with Strictly — they can’t hear enough about it. They want to know what I’m wearing, which dance I’m doing and how hard it is to master the moves.”

And Michael revealed: “The thrill I got from that standing ovation was incredible.

“It’s the only thing I’ve experienced since my retirement that has equalled the buzz I used to get as a batsman when people got to their feet after I’d hit a century. Even my dance partner, Natalie Lowe, said that moment was the highlight of her dancing career.”

This week Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday 1st December at 6.50pm with the results show on Sunday 2nd December at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
