They triumphed over competitors Chuck, Sam, Bendy Kate and Project G in tonight’s public vote after both recieving three gold stars from the judges.
Prodijig are a seven-strong troupe who put a modern hip-hop spin on Irish dancing. Judge Adam Garcia told them: “In your audition I said you were mind blowing. Tonight, I was so trying to pick something apart from your performance. You know what, I can’t. There can be no argument. Amazing.”
Kimberly Wyatt said they ‘dance like champions’, while Ashley Banjo added: “I don’t know if I’ve ever wanted an act in the final as much as I want you.”
Tayluer and Elliot, aged 10 and 8, are Liverpudlian ballet dancers. Reviewing their performance, Kimberly said: “These are the moments that I live for on Got To Dance. You two bring such a beautiful dance to life and your understanding of dance is way beyond your years.”
Ashley described the duo as ‘phenomenal’, while Adam also praised them: “You’ve just proved how difficult the semi final is because you tick every box. I just need to emphasize that what you do in your dance technically, most teenagers can’t do it yet.”
Got To Dance continues next Sunday at 6.00pm on Sky 1 (HD), when eight more dancers will compete for the next two final places and the chance to win the £250,000 prize.
Prodijig and Tayluer and Elliott are the first two acts to be voted in to next month’s Got To Dance 2012 grand final at London’s Olympia.
