The 20-year-olds – who shot to fame with their madcap performances on the 2009 series of The X Factor – tried out in front of producers, who are currently recruiting celebrities for the next series, The Sun reports. However, show chiefs will only select them if they are willing to go on as seperate contestants using their real names John and Edward Grimes, as it would be ‘impossible’ for them to take part as a duo. An insider said: “Producers are really keen on Jedward taking part as they think they will bring a lot of energy – not to mention madness – to the ice. “The boys put in some practice at the Lee Valley ice rink in east London before they jetted off to Singapore to promote their new album. Producers will have to decide whether they want them or not.” It would be their third major reality show appearance after they entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Channel 5 as one housemate last year. In May, the boys came nineteenth in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, representing Ireland with their song ‘Waterline’.
