Dancing On Ice 2012: Christine Bleakley to replace Holly Willoughby as host!

Dancing On Ice

Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley will be replacing Holly Willoughby on Dancing On Ice in the new year, it has been confirmed. Revealing the change of hosting line up on Twitter, Phillip Schofield said he’d remain on the show alongside his new female counterpart!

He wrote; “Just to keep you in the loop, [Holly Willoughby] won’t be presenting Dancing on Ice due to new commitments [Christine Bleakley] will step into the rink.”

Talking to the two telly presenters via the social networking website, the Silver Fox then joked: “Well @hollywills & @clbleakley we can’t ever say that life is dull! Lol Xx”

Christine Bleakley said: “I’ve always been a total Dancing On Ice addict so it really is hard to sum up how excited I am to be joining the team.

“My only concern was what a big task it is to follow the brilliant Holly and I can only promise her, Phillip and everyone at home that they couldn’t have a bigger fan of the show on board.”

It’s been rumoured that Holly may have quit ITV altogether in order to front new BBC One music singing show The Voice UK next Spring.

The 2012 series of Dancing On Ice kicks off in January, with Chesney Hawkes and Sugababes member Heidi Range amongst the stars currently in training.

I can’t believe Christine Bleakley is presenting DOI – what a mistake! She is so irritating. When are ITV going to realise that she is just not watchable. There are so many better female presenters. I think a lot of fans will either not watch DOI or will record it and fast forward through her presenting parts – if they are not fussy about watching it live
