Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon praises new BFF Amanda Holden

Alesha Dixon (Britain's Got Talent 2012)

Britain’s Got Talent may well be over for the year, but Alesha Dixon has revealed she and fellow judge Amanda Holden are still in close contact.

Alesha and fellow new judge David Walliams joined Amanda on the panel earlier this year, replacing David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre.

And Alesha claimed that Simon Cowell and David’s bromance overshadowed her and Amanda!

“On BGT prior to the live shows, all the focus was on David and Simon’s lovely bromance but when the live shows happened you could see Amanda and I genuinely got on really well,” Alesha said today. “I had respect for Amanda before I met her and she was so welcoming to David and me.

“She took me out for coffee and we had a good chinwag and we both got on. We’re just grateful for doing something we both enjoy.”

Speaking to The Sun, Amanda insisted that there was absolutely no tension or rivalry between the pair, despite the unusual press reports.

Alesha gushed: “Amanda is so straight talking, I love that about her and she’s good fun.”
